A French butter dish, hand thrown, painted and made in Montreal, Quebec, Canada by well known artist Patrick Magny. The butter dish is a beautiful cream colour with bands of deep blue and mustard, decorated with green olives and leafy twigs.
By keeping the French butter dish on the counter or on the table, at room temperature and not in the fridge, it will enable you to preserve the butter without it growing rancid and it’s texture will be perfect, neither too hard or too soft.
How it works:
Fill the lid of the French butter dish with butter, add cold water into the base and place the butter lid into the base. The butter is immersed in the water which does not allow any air contact and therefore it keeps all its freshness.
Change the water every four or 5 days to keep it fresh.
Size: 10cm x 10cm and holds 4oz(125g) of butter. Because each piece is hand-made, each piece is unique and will vary slightly in shape, size and colouring.
