I only buy gifts for my grandchildren for Christmas and will likely spend the same amount as last year on them. Because we live in a different province from them, we usually buy online and have the gifts shipped directly to them and their parents do the wrapping!

  2. Linda Bragg says:

I only have two ppl to buy for so I shop early around Oct. month. I buy gift cards, lotto tickets, personal items, food n snacks, plus more. I use gift wrap and also bags depending on the gift. I always buy a special personal card for each person.

  3. Amber Lee Kolb says:

Are you going to spend more or less on gifts this Holiday Season?

Do you take the easy route and buy gift cards for everyone or do you buy a unique gift for each person?
It depends on the person. Kids I will usually buy unique toys they have been wanting. For older cousins and family members, I usually do gift cards so they can pick what they want.

Do you use gift wrap or gift bags? Bows or ribbon? Cards or tags?
Usually gift bags except at Christmas I will do wrapping and bows and tags.

  4. Lynda Cook says:

I am only buying for my 3 grandchildren and it won’t be to much as money is tight this year. I like to use gift bags and paper, some presents get bows

  5. Shirley O says:

I am going to spend about the same amount on Christmas shopping this year. I just have my immediate family to shop for so it’s a short list. I usually buy gifts as opposed to gift cards. I use both gift wrap and bags or boxes. I also use ribbons and bows.

I generally like to select gifts. I feel like it’s more personal and meaningful. I’ll probably be spending a bit less this year, but trying to be creative to make up for it.

  7. Sandra Dufoe says:

I will be spending less this year as groceries are so expensive. I use gift wrap for the kids as they like to rip things open and gift bags for the adults.

  8. Martha Gallo says:

Spending less, always specialized gifts and we use both wrapping paper and gift bags but also I like making gift baskets and shrink wrap them

  9. Melissa Shirley says:

I usually buy gifts for family/ friend’s and get gift cards for co workers. I usually gift wrap the gifts. Sometimes i give the older kids money because i never know that they want.

  10. Ashley S says:

I’m going to be spending more on gifts this year because I’m a new auntie. My niece was born in July so I’ll be spoiling her this holiday season. I buy everyone unique gifts. I wrap gifts for my brother and sister-in-law, parents, and secret santa. For my grandmother and niece I’ll probably just use bags and tissue paper.a

  11. Rebeka Deleon says:

I am going to spend as much as I am able to and I usually buy unique gifts for people. It is more thoughtful than a gift card but I do buy gift cards when it is for games for my kids. I wrap them all myself.

  12. Natalee Clark says:

I spend the same amount every year on my family and friends. I usually give cash or Visa gift cards so people can purchase what they want. I also build a stocking with gift cards and other goodies. I don’t wrap anything. I present it in an envelope.

Due to my financial predicament, I’m going to spend less this year. I always find unique gifts for each person I shop for, so I make that connection and show them I care about what they like. I always wrap my gifts in wrapping paper with a label, but no ribbons or bows.

  14. Linda Fast says:

  16. kathy m says:

I only use gift cards if someone specifically asks for one – otherwise people get gifts! Wrapped, with bows an ribbon and given with love!

  17. Paula S. says:

I will be spending a little less this year because I have less people to buy for. I have a few gifts already and plan to do quite a bit of my shopping in the next few weeks. I do like unique gifts for each person and rarely buy gift cards unless the recipient has specifically requested one. Usually those are for stocking stuffers if I buy them! I use boxes and gift bags – it really depends on the gift. I rarely use bows since they usually get smashed when storing the wrapped gifts or stacking them under the limited space we have where our tree is located.
